Hurry Up & Wait

A behind-the-scenes look at the making of a book about spiritual dating, sacred patience, and holy hope.

Why I Wrote This Book

This book was born in the tension of desire and delay. Hurry Up & Wait is my love letter to every woman, or man, trying to stay faithful in a dating culture that rarely makes space for the sacred. It’s about what it feels like to hope when hope hurts, to believe in covenant love when everything else screams “settle,” and to trust that God is still writing a story worth waiting for.

The Message in the Middle of the Mess

This isn’t a how-to book on dating. It’s a journey through the messy, funny, faith-stretching parts of waiting. I share the late-night prayers, the uncomfortable growth, the hilarious moments of romantic delusion — all of it. I wanted to offer something that feels like a conversation with your wiser best friend, one who still believes that love rooted in Christ is worth waiting for.

How This Book Came Together

Writing Hurry Up & Wait wasn’t just about crafting words — it was about surrendering to timing I didn’t always understand. Some chapters flowed; others I wrestled through. I had to face old heartbreaks, relive awkward DMs, and remind myself again and again why obedience matters more than “likes.” But through it all, God met me.
