Hailing from Barrett, TX, I’m a lover of people and words. My fascination with the inner workings of people, emotions, and Christianity led me to acquire a bachelor’s and master’s in Psychology.
I’ve found myself constantly in service to others through ministry, teaching at the local college, or building genuine relationships with the amazing souls in my community. My deep care and concern for others finds its expression through thoughtful communication in my writing and mentorship.
When I’m not sharing stories and building business strategies with my husband, you can find me nurturing relationships with the people I love most; or chasing my adorable children, Zizi, Solomon, and Rose around our loving home.
My Story
Born in Baytown, TX. My mother named me Nevate after Jodeci’s lead singer DeVante. What she didn’t realize is Nevaté means summit, snow-capped mountains, having tall leadership implications.
When you could ask someone ‘will you be my friend’ and they stick around for 20+ years. My friend Ann (to the right), we're buddies for life!
